One of the best additions made by this DLC however is the diplomatic. Ostensibly it focuses mainly on the regions of China and Japan, adding the Chinese Empire mechanic for the former and a whole new style of gameplay with daimyos for the latter. ![]() ![]() Europa Universalis IV was released on August 13, 2013. Mandate of Heaven adds quite a lot of features to Europa Universalis 4. Maybe this is my love for CK side saying it but for me, EU needs to adds elements of being able to play it more ways than just expanding via wars or getting RNG PUs, they need to add diplomatic ways to influence and expand in the game more, just in general it needs more ways for a player to play it that's not just about raging war or at the very least they could instead of that revamp how battles work in the game so doing wars is actually fun, make it actually enjoyable to do wars, i think the only game that has made battles fun for me in PDX games has been HoI4 but that game is souly focused on war so of course it makes sense it would at least get that right. Well, Europa Universalis 4 is a PC-only game and it hit the markets long back in 2013, i.e, 9 years ago. Europa Universalis 5 release date hasnt yet been announced, and we dont expect that to change. EU4 introduced me to PDX and GSGs but i honestly hardly play it much anymore, ever since i touched CK2 (and now CK3) i found myself spending very little time in EU4 anymore to now basically hardly touching it anymore for almost a year even though i got the latest DLC which was kinda of a let down really. Honestly, for EU5 i'm hoping they add a lot more ways to play the game. It's also possible they might do a new project, maybe give the cold war project that failed another go. I don't wanna sound like a meme here but it's more likely ViC3 would be the next in line and that game needs a freshening up a lot more than EU4, after that EU5 is most certainly next I'd say. ![]()
